Wheatley Records is a family run Independent record label born out of necessity in Melbourne, Australia. It was established in 1980 by Australian music icon Glenn Wheatley, the man behind the careers of John Farnham, Little River Band and Delta Goodrem, who also founded the first FM radio station in Australia and famously changed the ways bands and promoters did business.
An integral part of Australian music’s tapestry, Wheatley Records proudly gave rise to releases from John Farnham, Real Life, Pseudo Echo, Moving Pictures, Ross Wilson, Southern Sons, Dragon and many more…
To this day - John Farnham’s ‘Whispering Jack’ remains the highest selling Australian album in history.
